Chateau les Fontenelles Sauvignon Blanc 0,75 l

Year 2016.

Characteristic:
The vineyards of this winery are spread over 25 hectares in the picturesque region of Perigord. This castle is currently owned by the Bourdil family. Most have a southern and southeastern inclination that makes the grapes reach a good ripening state. This white Sauvignon version is made 100% from the Sauvignon blanc variety, which matured on barrique oak barrels. This is an exceptional wine precisely from the point of view of using this single variety. Other wines of this appellation come from the classic link between Sauvignon and Semillon. The wine is a darker yellow in the shade of old gold. The aroma is robust and intense with notes of mature peaches, gooseberries and white flowers of lilac and peonies. The flavour is very juicy with nuances of nectarines, matured pomelo and candied ginger, yet it remains dry with a complex acid structure. The aftertaste is persistent with a pleasantly salty tendency. A spiciness resembling white pepper is also characteristic of many other wines from appellations such as Graves, Pessac Leognan etc.

Service temperature: The ideal service temperature is 14°C and decanting in a narrow decanter for 30 minutes is also suitable.
archiving The potential of the wine ranges from 3 to 6 years.
